  1. Take a shower using any shampoo and conditioner. It helps if the shampoo is recommended for a straight look or has "silicone" in it.Remember to always use a conditioner so your hair doesn't dry out from the straightener.
  2. Wrap your wet hair in a towel for 20 minutes.

How to Apply Eye Shadow

There are two basic ways to apply eye shadow in shape shading, "rounded" and "winged". Now you want to determine what is the best shading shape in your case. You can try applying one shading shape (rounded) to one eye and the other shading shape (winged) to the other eye (this would save you time). Then go look in the mirror and see which one looks best on you.
Experiment and try all the different shading. You may be surprised to find that several of them may look great on you (the rounded technique seems to look good on the majority of women). If you don't have much room between the eyelid crease of your eye and your eyebrow then apply eye shadow using the winged shape (unless there is some sagging).

Winged Shading

Looks best where the skin towards the corner of the eye is not sagging such as on younger women because their skin is still firm.

Round Shading

Use when your brow bone markedly curves around the eye and don't use the winged style because it will make any sag more obvious.

Rounded Eye Shadow Application

Highlighter eye shadow across the eyelid, from the lash line to slightly beyond the crease, and all the way to the eyebrow.

Medium shade eye shadow to the eyelid and smudge under the bottom eyelashes.

Accent eye shadow in the wedge at the outer corner of the eye and blend well.

Line upper and lower lashes with eyeliner pencil.

Advanced Rounded Eye Shadow Application

Highlighter eye shadow across the eyelid, from the lash line to slightly beyond the crease, and all the way to the eyebrow.

Mid tone eye shadow on inner corner of lid.

Accent eye shadow on crease and in wedge; blend all well.

Line upper and lower lashes with with eyeliner pencil.

How to Apply Blush

Bring radiance and glow to your face with a little sweep of blush. The application is quick and the results gratifying.

Step 1
Select a color of blush that resembles the natural glow of your cheeks after you exercise. Consider having a lighter color for day, and a darker tone for a more dramatic evening look. Keep your blush in the same color family as your lipstick.

Step 2
Consider the type of blush best suited to your skin type. Cream blush works very well for drier skin, as it can help to keep skin hydrated. Powder blush is better suited to oily skin.

Step 3
Complete the application of foundation, powder and all eye makeup before applying blush.

Step 4
Use a full, round brush for the application of your powder blush, as it will make for a softer and more professional look than the brush that comes with the blush. This should not be the same brush you use to apply your loose powder.

Step 5

Place a small amount of blush on the brush and gently tap off any excess. Or, place a small amount of cream on your middle finger.

Step 6

Look in the mirror and smile.

Step 7

Place powder blush on the apple of your cheek and gently brush up your cheekbone toward your hairline. Dot cream blush beginning at the apple, and gently blend up the cheekbone toward the hairline.

Step 8
Focus your blush at the outside of your face near your hairline if you have a fuller face. For high cheekbones, concentrate blush in the center of your face to accentuate your bones.

Step 9
Blend a little blush down your cheek for a little more natural, less dramatic look.

How to Apply Lipstick and Lip Liner

Lips are one of the best part of women face, :) so, to make it good there are a technique to use lipstick,, try it and you will be amazed :)

Step 1

Consider your lipstick color and finish. You'll do well with colors that match the natural shade of your lips, opting for darker tones that complement your overall coloring. Matte lipsticks offer a muted finish complementary to workday makeup, while satin and gloss finishes offer appealing evening looks.

Step 2

Apply all other makeup before putting on lipstick and lip liner.

Step 3

Begin by dabbing on a very small amount of lip balm or petroleum jelly to give your lips a little moisture.

Step 4

Draw a thin line along the edge of your lips with a lip liner whose color is one shade darker than your lipstick. Start at the center of the upper lip and work outward. Hug the very outer edges to open up thin lips, and line well within the edges to downplay excessively full lips.

Step 5

Apply lipstick from the tube or by using a firm, small lipstick brush. Coat the lips evenly. Pay special attention to staying within the lips' edges.

Step 6

Blot to remove any excess color and to even out the texture.

Step 7

Remember to touch lips up after a meal, as lipstick easily transfers onto coffee cups, water bottles and soda cans.

Friday The 13th...

whooaa.. today is Nov 13 and it's Friday!! I think before u have heard about *Friday the 13th* myth.. maybe we are as an Indonesian not so familiar with this,, :) but in western countries this day like this as a sign of bad luck.

For this year will be dated Friday 13th. First, Friday,February 13, 2009 then Friday, March 13, 2009, and followed by Friday, November 13, 2009. And like that only happens once every 11 years.

The fear of Friday the 13th is called paraskevidekatriaphobia a word derived from the concatenation of the Greek words Paraskeví (Παρασκευή) (meaning Friday), and dekatreís (δεκατρείς) (meaning thirteen), attached to phobía (φοβία) (meaning fear)

A further theory goes back to a combination of Paganism, Christianity, and the Battle of Hastings. For many, the number 13 was considered a lucky number (such as 13 lunar cycles each year), but with the efforts of Christianity attempting to degrade all things Pagan, they promoted 13 as an unlucky number, with Friday thus also being considered a bad day of the week. However, on Friday the 13th of October 1066, the decision was made by King Harold II to go to battle on Saturday the 14th of October, rather than allow his troops a day of rest (despite his army having made a long and arduous march from a battle near York just 3 weeks earlier).

This decision in going to battle before the English troops were rested (the English lost and King Harold was killed), further established Friday the 13th as an unlucky day.

In some other countries, instead of Friday, Tuesday the 13th is considered bad luck. For example, the Fall of Constantinople, when the city fell to the Ottomans (a fact which marked the end of the Byzantine Empire), happened Tuesday, May 29, 1453 and is why Greeks consider Tuesday to be an unlucky day. (taken from wikipedia)

so many people said that if on Friday coincided with the 13th will bring bad luck. hmm do you believe that? I think only ourself that can make it a good or bad luck... hmmm

Bananas are good,,, For Our Health..

I want to share with you about this fruit..BANANA..I loveeeee Banana...Much!! instead of its unique shape, it is also delicious.. hhehehe.. Oke here are 6 Awesome Health Benefits Of Bananas that I took from http://thetaoofgoodhealth.com/

  1. Bananas are good for your heart and nerves: Bananas contain a high dose of potassium - an essential ingredient to keep your heart and nervous system in good shape. Potassium is essential for proper muscle contraction and hence plays an important role in muscle-influenced activities including: the normal rhythmic pumping of the heart, digestion, muscular movements, etc., Some studies have also linked low potassium intake to high blood pressure and increased risk of stroke. Most Americans don’t get enough potassium in their diet (recommended dose is about 4 g per day) - blame it on our fast food culture. Including a banana (or two) in your diet everyday would take you a step closer towards getting your daily recommended dose of potassium (references: American Heart Association, University of Maryland Medical Center, Colorado State University).
  2. Bananas are good for your kidneys and bones: Benefits to the kidneys and the bones are again due to the high potassium content of bananas. A normal intake of potassium suppresses calcium excretion in the urine and minimizes the risk of kidney stones. Also, for the same reason (suppressing of calcium excretion), it minimizes the loss of calcium from the body and thereby reduces the risk of osteoporosis (references: University of Maryland Medical Center, University of Kansas Medical Center).
  3. Bananas can act as mood enhancers or mild sedatives: Bananas contain tryptophan (although it’s not one of the major sources, a medium still contains about 10.6 mg of tryptophan). Tryptophan is one of the 20 amino acids which are building blocks of proteins (btw, an incredible number of articles on the internet call tryptophan as a “mood-enhancing protein” and that is technically not correct). Tryptophan helps the body to produce serotonin - which has a calming effect on the brain (creates a stable mood) and acts as a mild sedative. It should be noted that the only way our our body gets it’s dose of tryptophan is through our diet - it does not produce tryptophan naturally; bananas is one of the easiest ways to get it (references: Nutritiondata.com, Chemistry Daily, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, NIH MedLinePlus).
  4. Bananas are good for your blood: Bananas are one of the highest sources of naturally available vitamin B6: Vitamin B6 plays an important role in converting tryptophan to serotonin (read #3 above), and also helps the body to make hemoglobin - a crucial ingredient of your blood. Vitamin B6 is also essential for antibody production and to maintain a healthy immune response. It also helps to convert carbohydrates to glucose and thereby maintains proper blood sugar levels. A medium banana can take care of 1/5th of your daily recommended intake of vitamin B6 and is one of the easiest (and cheapest) ways to increase your dietary intake of the vitamin (references: NIH Office of Dietary Supplements).
  5. Bananas are good for kids: Let me quote this from NIH’s Medical Encyclopedia -

Bananas are part of the BRAT diet, a diet many physicians and nurses recommend for children recovering from gastrointestinal problems, particularly diarrhea. BRAT stands for the different components that make up the diet: Bananas, Rice cereal, Applesauce, Toast. These are binding foods that make the stools harder.

  6. Bananas are good source of dietary fiber: A single serving (one medium-sized banana) contains 16% of the daily recommended dietary fiber intake for a normal adult - that’s substantial for a single serving of any food. Fiber improves laxation (smooth bowel movements). Fiber-rich diets have also been linked to lower risk of coronary heart disease and of type 2 diabetes. Also, view this information in light of the following facts (references: Health.gov, NIH PubMed - abstract is sufficient):

Current recommendations suggest that adults consume 20-35 grams of dietary fiber per day. Children over age 2 should consume an amount equal to or greater than their age plus 5 grams per day. Yet the average American eats only 14-15 grams of dietary fiber a day. source: Harvard School of Public Health

You Want to know the benefits contained in bananas,, :)

Serving size = 1 medium sufficiently ripe banana [about 7″ long and 126 grams (0.28 pounds) in weight]

Total Fat = 0 g; Cholesterol = 0 g; Calories = 110

Potassium = 400 mg (10% of daily recommended value)

Dietary Fiber = 4 g (16% of daily recommended value)

Sugar = 14.8 g; Protein = 1 g (2% of daily recommended value)

Vitamin C = 16% of daily recommended value

Vitamin B6 = 20% of daily recommended value
